The Heart of Qwanoes is a Heart for Kids
Qwanoes is a youth-oriented high-adventure Christian Camp seeking to encourage commitment to Jesus Christ and provide biblical discipleship through relationship-focused, fun-oriented and Christ-centred programs. We love kids…and our desire is to help them discover and live a ‘life like no other’…a life with Jesus Christ at the centre.
Over and over, we hear how the camp’s ministry has had a phenomenal impact upon the lives of young people and families – as well as the people they touch. It is amazing the difference that is made in the life of a child in just one week.

Qwanoes summer camps have grown for the past three decades, from just over 600 in 1986 to over 4200 campers in summer 2025. We are so thankful for the MANY people who have stood with us and provided support to allow Qwanoes to grow and become more effective every year…especially these past few years. Kids are being significantly impacted in very positive ways through the ministry of camp.

Our fees do not completely cover the costs to run camp. Most capital projects (especially all major projects) are only made possible through the gifts from friends of Qwanoes. Qwanoes is a constant work in progress…and each year has been a step of faith. We are so thankful for God’s faithfulness…right from the year our property was purchased in 1965.

There are several options for your support, described below. Our new online giving site will allow you to donate securely with a credit card. We also accept donations by cheque, cash (in-person), automatic bank withdrawal (please get in touch with us to set this up), and eTransfer (please email life@qwanoes.ca). Continuing the Momentum Forward!
The impact of COVID in 2020 and 2021 brought huge financial and ministry challenges. The only way Qwanoes made it through was due to the overwhelming support of so many people who came alongside the camp to help.
From 2022-2025, much progress was made to ‘re-set’ the camp, and we were able to welcome MANY more campers. But there is still more to be done and we are hoping to welcome even more in 2026 – our 60th anniversary year!
Can you help us prepare to welcome the largest number of children and youth that we’ve ever had in 2026?
As a non-profit camp we have always relied on the partnership and support of people…and today we continue to need this more than ever. All donations are welcome and will make a difference, especially at this time.

Giving Options
Since 2020 these special year-end donation drives have made an enormous difference at Qwanoes. Each year we identify vital facility needs that go to the heart of our ministry to children and youth. For example, one project for 2026 is to replace the Q-Town roof, another example is to improve our original cabins. There are vital projects in all areas that affect our summer ministry and allow us to be at full capacity. Our goal is to raise $1,100,000 by December 31, 2025. The first $500,000 will be MATCHED by a foundation, and $300,000 has been committed in lead gifts!
To reach the goal we are seeking to raise the remaining $300,000 by December 31 (it will ALL be matched!).

Annual Projects Fund
Every year there are many needs that are only made possible through your support. For example, in recent years this has included items such as: a new deck, new items in our Aqua Park, Q-Town upgrades, more Ocean Kayak Frenzies, a new walk-in-cooler, Coco Hut, new floor for our dining room, a new roof on Club Coco, Ice Cream Island, qrok Tower, additional cabins…and many more.
Staff Support Fund
Can you help build our staff team? Every summer we seek to raise funds for many of our summer staff to enable them to serve at camp. Many are college students who make a considerable sacrifice to serve on summer staff for the entire summer. Your financial and prayer support will make a big difference.
'LINQ' Staff Fund
Can you help LINQ summer staff to campers by providing for their financial support? This fund allows us to provide increased support to all summer-long staff. It enables our ‘Matching $500’ program where we match the first $500 of support that is raised through our direct summer staff support efforts. It also enables our ‘Returning Bonus’ program where we provide additional support to summer-long staff who have returned to serve an entire summer.
Campership Fund
Many children and youth need help to be able to attend camp. Every year Qwanoes provides scholarships to families in need…allowing kids to afford to attend. We also work in partnership with many with our ‘Side-By-Side” campership program. Can you help provide support to families to help them send kids who urgently need to be able to experience the life-changing effect of a week at camp?
Qwanoes Missions Fund
As part of our Kaléo program, every year we send several teams to come alongside existing ministries and help make a difference in their communities. God has worked in very powerful ways through these trips.
