🎤 Speaker: Jacob (& Madi) Harder
Jacob is the Youth & Young Adults Pastor at South Delta Baptist Church. Jacob and his wife, Madi, moved to the Lower Mainland in 2022 so Jacob could pursue graduate studies at Regent College. They live in Ladner and have two young children who also attend youth group with them almost every week.Jacob is passionate about helping people grow in their awareness of and closeness to God in their ordinary lives and in seeing the beauty of his Word. He enjoys eating good food, lifting weights, going for long walks, and playing board games.
Through his engaging approach, authenticity and deep caring, God will be at work in your life and your entire family. We’re looking forward to welcoming Jacob and Madi to Qwanoes. Prepare for one extra special weekend together!
📝 Details
- Begins: Friday, 9:00 pm (Register anytime between 7:00 pm to 9:15 pm) Qwanoes will provide bus transportation from the Duke Point Ferry Terminal in Nanaimo for both the 3:15 pm and 5:45 pm ferries from Tsawwassen. Note: If arriving on the 3:15 pm ferry, please note that dinner is not provided at Qwanoes on Friday night.
- Ends: Monday, 1:30 pm Mainlanders will catch the 3:15 pm ferry to Tsawwassen.
- Accommodation: Families have the choice of bringing their own tent or R.V, staying in our Sky Ridge Lodge, non-winterized cabins, or Pacific Woods Lodge (limited). You can decide on your accommodation at the time of registration.
- What to bring: Your own bedding, Bible, alarm clock, flashlight, warm casual clothes, personal items, appropriate footwear, old clothes & shoes (just in case!), swimsuit and towels, rain gear (just in case!).

📆 Family Work Weekend (May 29-31, 2026)
Here is a great opportunity for your family to serve together and experience Qwanoes all in one weekend – and there is no cost!
This special weekend will include: serving during Saturday as part of our Summer Work Day, a family fun event and fireside Saturday evening, and a Q-Town Sunday morning (including a prayer walk). For more info go to the Family Work Weekend page.
