Leader-in-Training Program
Practical Training For Youth
This unique program provides opportunity for qualified graduates of our Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program to gain valuable leadership training and experience in roles such as counseling, activity leading, program assistance, and operations. Two full weeks in the program are focused on training, and other training and discipleship will be woven into the remaining weeks of your commitment. Serve God now in a significant way, and be challenged to mature spiritually and to pursue your life mission to accomplish the purposes of God!
Part Of The Staff Team
LIT's play a key role on our staff team and serve in a variety of areas including junior counseling, events, activities, and support staff. This is excellent preparation for future leadership roles, particularly in camp, church and other ministries.
Option One: LIT-Full
Requires a minimum 8 week commitment. Support Goal: $5,500 (higher if serving longer than 8 weeks) and Qwanoes contributes $2,400 if needed to reach the goal (see "Financial Assistance Programs" for more information).
Option Two: LIT-Lite
Requires a minimum 4-week commitment.
Both Options:
The weeks of Staff Training (June 21 to 27, 2024) and Juniors #1 (July 14 to 19, 2024) are required. The remaining weeks of the LIT program will include serving as a Junior Counselor (1 of 2 weeks for LIT-Lite if qualified, and 2-4 weeks for LIT-Full if qualified)... and in the areas of events, activities, or operations support. There is also a special optional (but highly recommended) training weekend (featuring an off-camp event) on May 3 to 5, 2024 to help form our LIT group and begin training. Please contact us if you have questions concerning your school exam schedule.
