The course is staffed by our qualified belayers with all equipment provided. Elements in the challenge course may be booked between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. for up to four hours at a time, subject to the availability of trained staff and weather permitting. For ages 8 and up. Please refer to the Qwanoes Challenge Course Packages sheet for specific information.

WATERFRONT

Qwanoes Beach, with approximately 3000' of sheltered coastline facing Salt Spring Island, offers excellent opportunities to swim, kayak, or canoe. The camp has a canoe and 20 Ocean Kayak Frenzies available that may only be used within defined boundaries. To go outside the boundaries, a ski boat and driver must be present at the waterfront. The waterfront may be booked between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. for up to four hours at a time, subject to the availability of trained staff and weather permitting.

WIDE GAMES

The camp has qualified staff ready and prepared to lead your group in an action packed group game. We supply the leader and equipment; all you need are a few supervisors to help run the game. Whether you need a game to be a back up for that rainy day or a night game to take your event to the next level, we have just the event in mind. Wide Games may be scheduled between the hours of 1pm to 9 pm and will run for up to 2 hours at a time, subject to the availability of trained staff and weather permitting for outdoor events.

SPORTS FIELDS

The camp has two sports fields for large group activities and games. The larger field has a full asphalt sport court featuring glass backboards. It is fenced in to make it the perfect spot for street hockey. Other features include a sand volleyball court, 1 or 2 trampoline(s), a skateboard park, and a baseball diamond. To use the trampoline, the group must supply proper supervision. Sports equipment available includes footballs, soccer balls, basketballs, volleyballs, and frisbees.

OTHER RECREATION

Many excellent beach and mountain trails (for hiking and walking) surround Camp Qwanoes. Other options include ping pong, foosball hut, the playground, and for adult groups, horseshoes. Our outdoor fireside includes a spectacular ocean view and seats approximately 400 people amphitheatre-style.
