One-Year Staff Positions
Qwanoes often gives staff opportunity to stay on for a period of one year following the summer. They serve full-time alongside our experienced staff team in a variety of ministry areas including program and recreation, media development, administration, food services and maintenance. Maintenance Assistant-Janitorial | One Year Role | Qwanoes contributes $1200 per month plus room and board | Assist the Maintenance Coordinator with all aspects of annual maintenance needs, focusing in the area of janitorial and providing leadership to janitorial/housekeeping staff. During the summer, will most likely serve as the Maintenance Crew Chief. On-site housing and board provided. Prior summer staff involvement at Qwanoes preferred. |
Maintenance Assistant-Construction | One Year Role | Qwanoes contributes $1200 per month plus room and board | Assist the Maintenance Coordinator with all aspects of annual maintenance needs, focusing on construction and building-related projects. Qwanoes has experienced continual growth for over two decades, and there are a variety of building-related project needs in response to this growth and to prepare for continued future growth. Student Life Assistant (1 Make & 1 Female) |
September 5, 2025 to August 30, 2025 | Qwanoes contributes $1350 per month plus room and board | Responsible for helping to oversee, lead, and care for the students in our Kaléo program within a team approach to ministry, as well as for assisting with the overall Kaléo program as directed. Also includes a leadership position on Advance Crew and Summer Staff from May through the end of summer. Must have served for a summer on Qwanoes’ staff team. Staffing Assistant | January 4 to August 30, 2025 | Qwanoes contributes $1200 per month plus room and board | Gain experience in camp management by assisting the Director of Staffing with all aspects of staffing including recruiting summer staff, responding to staffing inquiries, inputting data, processing applications, maintaining records, and possibly assisting with follow-up. Computer and basic office skills are required. Inquire about option to start in the fall. |
Registrar Assistant | January 4 to August 30, 2025 | Qwanoes contributes $1200 per month plus room and board | Assists the Registrar with all aspects of camp registration, including taking registrations, registration processing, cabin lists, maintaining records and direct contact with campers, families and the general public. Also includes assisting with other administrative tasks as required. Requires good organizational skills, computer experience, and knowledge of popular computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel. |
Full Time Opportunities
Recreation Coordinator
In this vital full-time, year-round paid position you’ll be responsible for leading and coordinating the recreational activity program in a team approach including staff, activity programming, administration, activity maintenance and facility needs, and general program support, and for providing support in the non-summer months in the areas of administration and/or operations. You must have recognizable Christian maturity, substantial leadership experience and/or training, strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills, ability to work well in a team environment, a love for children’s, youth, and young adult ministry, proficiency in various camp activities (a background in lifeguarding, kayaking, belaying and/or boat driving are assets), a college or university degree (preferred), and previous training in first aid (preferred).
