Advance Crew (April 30 to the start of Staff Training)

April 30 to June 20 Be Part Of Laying The Foundations For Summer (Volunteer Position)

Join this vital group of leaders that is involved in all aspects of preparing Qwanoes for the summer and working with pre-summer guest groups. Advance Crew, which starts on April 26 and goes until the start of Staff Training on June 21, is available to those who will be serving at camp all summer and who are 18 or older.

You Can Arrive Through May & June:

Some positions with financial support require starting in May or early June (we are flexible on the start date) but the Advance Crew option may also be possible for other positions - please inquire as space is limited. The Advance Crew team grows through May and June as staff typically join each week. Usually, positions which start in Advance Crew have a higher support amount available to be raised. Please contact Qwanoes for more information. Please indicate that "I am available for Advance Crew" under "Types of Service" on the summer staff application.

Kaléo Program Transition Team

Sep 5 to Sep 15 Help Us Prepare For A New Season of Ministry (Volunteer Position)

Assist in preparing Qwanoes to welcome our students attending the Kaléo program, our 8-month foundational leadership college program, starting one week after summer camps end. Includes cleaning rooms, buildings, and grounds as needed. Stay in either the Qwanoes Guest House or Pacific Woods Lodge, and Qwanoes will provide food service. Be a part of this vital team that will prepare the way for the new fall season of ministry at Qwanoes. Please contact us for more information.

Post-Summer Wrap-up & Fall Staff Team (All options include room and board)

Option 1 Sep 5 to Sep 15 (Qwanoes contributes $250)

Option 2 Sep 5 to Sep 29 (Support Goal: $1900; Qwanoes contributes $700 if needed.)

Option 3 Sep 5 to Nov 10 (Support Goal: $5000; Qwanoes contributes $1900 if needed.)

Option 4 Sep 5 to Dec 13 (Support Goal: $7500; Qwanoes contributes $2800 if needed.)

Be a part of this integral time in the life of Qwanoes! Extend your summer! Stay at Qwanoes for a week, a month, or more to join together with the year-round staff team to help wrap-up the summer, transition the camp into the fall, and be a vital part of the camp’s ongoing ministry. Includes a variety of service projects, helping with Qwanoes fall retreats and events such as the Road Tour, and being part of a dynamic year-round community of staff, interns, and students. Available to current or previous summer staff who are 18 years and older. Please contact us for more information. Please Note: If you serve on summer staff, a four-day break will be arranged after summer ends. This position could be extended through to the spring and to the start of Advance Crew.
